I went diving today and lost my new underwater camera.  A seal joined me and led me to where it was.  Sounds weird, but he waved goodbye like he was trained and SeaWorld and then swam off.  I never did find any ling cods that were legal.  I patched together a few dives and learned how to upload to youtube.  Not sure how it worked, but I am preparing for when I get something cool.

Don't view if you want to see action or fish and abalone taking because I did not kill anything today.

Time to get in the water.

Hopefully I can work out the little things.  I uploaded in HD, but when I viewed the web page it showed in low resolution.  Not sure if it is based on my internet speed or do I have to select option and the highest quality each time I view a posted youtube video through this forum.  I was using tapatalk, so maybe it works different.

Great vis looks like it was at least 15 feet when you were looking horizontally. Where were you diving?

Between Glass Beach and Noyo Harbor. Vis was great.  I had been going to Russian Gulch and I have only seen vis that good there a few times.  Time to explore more.

Shoot,...with HD video like that, I don't need to go diving. I just pick up some calamari steaks at the market and watch the video. No fuss,no muss. Simple.

Come on Jack.  You are Mr outdoor adventure.   Fish, pigs, deer, abalone, HOW.  It's not that you don't need to do it, you just ran out of time.

Free diving is a lot cheaper than scuba unless you buy top of the line gear which can get expensive also.  I am going to buy SCUBA gear soon, but now just rent the gear for $30 when I feel like exploring or if I lose gear while freediving and can't find it.  I want to be able to really take time and explore when conditions get really good.  Hope to see some of you out there.
