Launched at the top of the tide and fished the outgo for 2 schoolie sized stripers (on a white Road Runner jig) and a jumbo jacksmelt (on a RLT!).  Fish were caught casting, hugging the shoreline.  Did not get any fish on the troll using a Blue/white X-rap (weeds were a problem), then a weedless 10" Power worm. Apparently I launched an hour too late.  Heard second hand that a PB fishing the same area (north end of the cove) just a bit earlier scored 18 fish in an hour!

I stayed out a bit too late trying to find the school and had to slog through some nastyness to get back on shore.  Wish I 'd worn booties not sandals...some things do not belong between your toes.

Remember: 2 hours before and after the top of the tide.

Gorgeous afternoon on the water and NO WIND.

Good to hear they are there or were :smt003. Fishign satlwater is complicated these days, fish early to avoid the wind but yet time it to coincide with the cusp of the high tide on a spring tide is possible.
