Some of you may have noticed a nice Hobie Quest that was going to be put up for Silent Auction at GS8 right before the event…

and then suddenly disappeared? 

The day before leaving for GS8 I was down at CC&K checking in with Keith as I usually do and he asked me what I was doing this weekend…

I told him about GS8 and of course the Silent Auction that was to benefit PIF and HOW, and without so much as a second thought…

Takes me down to his dock and gives me a nice 2011 Hobie Quest….  Wow…  Thank you Keith…

Story is not done….

I notify GS8 Silent Auction Ex-Trodinair GB2 and Abking of the Good News, but it was decided that it was too late to add it to the pile of items and y'all did not have time to budget for another large prize to be had…

I notified Keith at California Canoe & Kayak what had happen and again without a second thought,

" can't you use it for HOW?…"

That was pretty cool.

I bought my first brand new canoe from keith 25 years ago and i still have it. Madriver Freedom. It is a great river exploration and whitewater adventure boat. If canoes could tell stories, that boat would have some good ones. Thank you CCK.
