Interesting concept. But I prefer a simple 2 piece spare paddle with solid blades. More parts = more things to break. e.g. Mirage Drive.

I agree, but most kayaks can not accommodate a two pieced done inside the kayak. Most hatches are too small to fit a two piece in.

I agree, but most kayaks can not accommodate a two pieced done inside the kayak. Most hatches are too small to fit a two piece in.

True, for a spare something collapsible is ideal, although you'd have to inspect it all the time to make sure everything still works.
My old Prowler fits a 2 pc fine but it takes a lot of space.
