I blew a cheaper Helicoil -thread repair insert out of my #3 spark plug hole the day of the quail gathering vintage motorcycle show....on my way to sign in for a special ticket ride with laps of seca...AAA flatbed home and sandals and shorts/no  mo bike to ride to and for the show...
now I need a bigsert or timesert repair kit and am ready spend the 250+
wanted to check here first though and on my other bike forums before I buy a "new " one to see if anyone local has one they are done with that wants to sell or rent it
Thanks Craig
p.s my bike as it rolled to stop with dangling SP plug a mile from the pre show rides sign in...and few pics of the show ....a 200,000 $ kz1000 too

there were 350 400 500 and 750 kawasaki triple two strokes....one went on the cycle world ride that I had to miss...it was done in era type street racer mods

it's is a very good show and worth the trip...very family friendy...live tunes...free stuff....tons of guys and gals ride here in groups and the parking areas are as fun as the actual polo field display bikes......not to mention the eye candy...

Great photos man! The stock triple 2 strokers were the fastest stock bike at that time. Scary fast when the power band came on. Thanks !
