I know Saltwater bass guys down south that got rid of all the shimano and switched to these reels.

Haven't got one of these yet but I've been really happy with my Daiwa Tatula for freshwater. Casts farther than my Shimano & Abu freshwater baitcasters & with less incidents of backlash.

Its a great reel.  I own one without the power handle, going on its 2nd year in the salt.  No problems.

I de-virgenized mine yesterday on a 27in ling. I like the size compared to my calcutta 400. Spooled it up with 40lb braid. Only casted a couple of times with it set on 5, no problems. Seller shipped it out fast too!
