Rest in peace brothers.

CPL Charles Gaffney. Saved my ass more than once and kept me out of trouble. Christmas Eve we hear rockets at the next OP. Found out it was my friend. Killed by a 1 in 1,000 shot when a rocket came in through the gunners hatch. Any time I think of a soldiers sacrifice I think of this man. Regardless of the politics and reasons of being there, his reason was for the mistreated people, specifically women who weren't even treated like people.

SFC Raymond Munden. Platoon leader. On his way to eat when we got attacked by enemy rocket fire. Sitting in the bunker everyone's heart dropped when we heard there was a casualty. He had been deployed countless times and always made it. We were just a few weeks from returning home from his last tour before he retired.

Thoughts and prayers for anyone out there who's friend or family member gave the ultimate sacrifice.

You are welcome. Thank you, HOW and NCKA, for helping me find peace in the time/place I needed it most.  Hopefully I'll be getting to  know you guys better once I get on the water! (Soon enough)

And....
Thank you, my Brothers and Sisters In Arms (that don't get to come out fishing anymore and will never again).  Sorry I could not of done more for you.

I appreciate and honor all veterans and first responders who are willing to allow their bodies and minds to be damaged while protecting and serving this country and it's citizens.  Injuries are so often possible, but death is the ultimate reminder of what can happen.

If ever I can help, reach out and I will be there like many others who also care.  Need an ear or a friend to talk to or just someone to help get you out of the house and you have come to the right place.

What ever your limitations are there are work arounds to give everyone the opportunity to enjoy nature again and heal what can be healed.

Semper Fi,

I feel your sorrow my Friend. It is tough to lose someone and even harder when it is a Brother in Arms. I served in the Marine's. You become a very tight knit family.

Thank You for sharing the loss of two of your extraordinary Brothers.

CPL Charles Gaffney, Family Man, Motorcycle Racer, Champion and Protector of peoples rights, dignity and respect.

SFC Raymond Munden-Platoon Leader, Family Man, Sportsman.

Reading about their lives makes the loss more real, but keeps their memory alive.

Captain Phillip Esposito, FOB Danger 2005
West Point Grad, Commander of Company next to us, soldiers soldier.  He loaned us a piece of equipment that his unit had no use of and we did.  His words were "Soldiers are getting hot chow, what ever you need got it."  Several times we had lunch together.  Good guy left behind a wife and kids.

Col Jon Lockey, July 2007, Iraq.  I knew Jon as LT, Also A west Pointer, best officer I ever knew.  I would of followed him anywhere. Briliant mind, caring, and would never ask you to do anything you could he would not do himself.
