How long are you leaving it?  Ive used the state park, Red Bud, Oaks Beach, the Marina at the end of Eastlake Dr, Lakeside Park, Konocti Casino, and the ramp at the end of 1st Street in Lakeport with no issues.  I know its tweaker central up there in Lake County but wasn't aware that one landing was any worse than the rest.  I would think the pay ramps would be a little more secure that the free launches but they all carry some risk.  For night fishing trips I usually just pay and launch at a marina.

As far as the north end of the lake goes I would launch out of Konocti vista casino. Free launch, lots of people there with security walking around . It is Clearlake so things can happen anywhere in that area.

For all night trips I would definitely go to a marina and pay the launch fee.  That would at least ensure that a camera will be on the premises.  It won't stop the stupid folks but it does deter a few.  I definitely wouldn't leave anything in the truck while you're out on the water.  I make that standard practice no matter which launch I'm using on any body of water.

are you fishing north end or south end? I just went to north end to Konocti. Nice place, good rooms, decent restaurant in the casino. Launch is good and has a dock for your pleasure. Parking is in front of the office so relatively secure and is on the reservation.
