Last minute, my hosts ended up not needing the 2 comp tickets that we get as performers - last minute shout out to anyone in the Santa Cruz area - first call, first serve...

TONIGHT at the Santa Cruz Civic Auditorium - Santa Cruz Symphony - 8pm. 2 tickets (not seated together)

Program as follows - Mozart Ave Verum, Bernstien's Chichester Palms, and Mozart Requiem... great orchestra (I'm playing 2nd bass), with Cabrillo Chorus (100 people?) and 4 guest soloists (Sop, Alto, Tenor, Bass) from the New York Met Opera.

I can be reached at 510-406-2550, and do not accept texts, can meet you prior to the concert (no later than 7:30pm) out side of the Auditorium, will have my phone OFF after that.

For fans of Choral Orchestral music - this is some pretty epic stuff.

I hope someone was able to make use of those tix!  I was up in SF to watch the Giants get shut out, otherwise I would've been into it.  It's funny, I was at the game with two trumpet players and a bassoonist and the bassoonist who just moved back to the bay area from Chicago asked me if I knew anything about the SC Symphony!  Unfortunately I don't know much.

Bummer I didn't see this before this morning! I would have enjoyed it! I played French Horn with the Monterey county symphony for a few years back in the 70's. Always enjoy the music and appreciate the talent! Very cool to make the offer!!!!

Very cool! Nice to see fellow orchestral musicians on the site! Hope the concert went well. Let us know if another concert comes up and you've got spare seats!
