Memorial weekend fishing and how not to surf launch on the Central Coast

How can you not have fun when you're fishing? I truly believe the worst day recreational fishing is better than any day good or bad at work! (YMMV if you fish for a living... )

Thanks! My nephew is an active duty marine and I have lots of friends/family that are serving or have served. I couldn't serve due to health issues but I personally support and appreciate our military very much. I'm really hoping to pick up a second kayak and participate in some HoW events some time. I hope we get a chapter started here on the Central Coast soon!

Just watched the vid again, even though you took a swim you didn't have yard sale! 

Great video Madcat, I loved the reaction when you made it!!!!!  Bad Ass for the acknowledgement for the troops, my Niece just got home from Afghanistan 3 days before Memorial day!!!!!! so it was a very special one for us!!!!! Her second tour over seas 1st was Iraq. Thanks for laughs, can't wait to figure out my GoPro.

I go out with everything strapped down. I'm usually ready to  bail rather than flip the boat. It looks like I was to ready this time!

I'm glad she's home safe, I definitely know how nerve wracking it is. I love my GoPro! I've had it less than a week, but I've wanted one since the first one was released. I started out using the gopro studio and then moved to Premier for my latest video. I feel like I'm getting a bit better.

As a newbie who his saving for his first boat I particularly like these instructional videos on how and how not to do things. I especially like the self deprecating humor in the group, helps keep things in perspective...fish on!

Great job on the video, Madcat.  Thanks for sharing it here.  I think the key to keeping people interested is to keep changing your scene and using different audio clips like you have, and it always helps to have fish involved!

I agree, I can't wait to get my free diving gear and start spear fishing.
