not me… wish I stayed out of this now, just something I saw back when these rigs first came up about the ethics of them and I thought Eric said something about not being able to use that GS7..

anyway… Good luck with that…  I've got enough issues with people trying to abuse HOW for their own personal gain… so carry on…

Yes, harpoons are illegal in CA. The stupid part is that flying gaffs are allowed. CA doesn't allow you to shoot big halibut, but the least could do is allow both harpoons and flying gaffs.
I wonder if you can use your spear gun to spear it, when you get it next to your yak???

I am fairly convinced that harpoons are perfectly legal in California. The logic behind the argument that they are illegal makes zero sense.

Just call it a flying gaff if you want to.

Where did Eric say that ca legal a-rigs are banned?  I don't think he did.
