Hi, I live in Sonoma County and have been fishing for over 20 years.  I've been ab diving and spearfishing in Fort Ross a bunch in 2008-2013 and last year I launched a boat from Goat Rock and the Russian Rivermouth to go rockfishing.  I've been out on a few salmon/rockfish charters from Bodega Bay and have wet a line from shore at the Jetty up to Ocean Cove.  Hoping to do some Halibut in Tomales Bay, Salmon out of Bodega Bay and Rockfish around Jenner and Fort Ross this year.  I will be reporting on the action.  Also, I hunt feral pigs with a compound bow.

Hi, I am living in Napa and new to this site as well. I am having trouble figuring it out. Not very intuitive site so far??? I am interested in looking for Kayaks for sale but doesn't appear easy to find?? No simple "classified ads" Hoping posting questions will free up my ability to look at more stuff!!

You are correct that more posts will give you more acess. I believe that filter is to keep the focus by kayak angelers for kayak angelers and avoid CL type shenanigans. Get to posting you will be there before you know it. Most importantly Welcome to the Madness.-Amos

Welcome, Taffy and tneedler.   :smt001

That's a nice lingcod picture, Taffy, but I've never seen such a wide kayak with big sidewalls!   :smt005 :smt002  JK - looking forward to your reports.

Hey, tneedler - what SuperV said - keep postin' and soon you'll be able to see it all.  Next thing you know you'll be boatin, boastin, and havin' a ball.   :smt003

Thanks everybody.

PS. I don't have a kayak as of right now, but considering investing in one.  That is one of the reasons why I joined the posting boards.  In other words I'm here to seek information and weigh the pros and cons between an outboard motor for a 12' aluminum or a kayak.  It would be nice to be able to get them both, but unfortunately I can't do that yet.

IMO:
Bass fishing: 12' v-hull
Hog Hunting: 12' v-hull
and here is the decision maker, Ocean Fishing: 12' v-hull or kayak??? hmm....
