Thanks for all the input peeps!!! Decided not to get any because I had my tires rotated yesterday and found out I have no brakes ........so after nailing down that softub for PIF went into O'Reillys and got me some new brake pads for front and back...going to be pulling a trailer with our 2014 PIF RAFFLE PRIZE ON IT!!!  Don't want to lose that puppy goin down the last 3 miles into GS8....

I saw another thread about using barbed hooks , now that I saw these jigs with barbs on it I'm assuming that it is legal to use a big hammer swim bait on those jig heads for rockfish and lingcod is that correct?

Yes. The only restriction on barbs is with Salmon.  If you are fishing for salmon, or have a salmon on board, then you must fish barbless.
