Anyone Use This App for FB?

OK, I need Facebook help. . .lots to like, lots to grit your teeth over, like "suggestions." I found a free app called FB (Fluff Busting) Purity for Chrome, that touts it cleans up a myriad of Facebook annoyances. Has anyone used it? How effective is it? Or, am I putting my computer in the hands of Big Brother? Any ideas?

Do not put anything on Face book that you do not want everyone to know about. Their security is not always the best. That is the safest thing. Law enforcement and many other agencies get a lot of information from all these types of things. Not saying you do anything illegal. but what you do today, may not be cool tomorrow.

Never heard of it. How are the ratings? Sounds like it could be  a spam/hack. Just fishing for personal info.

Don't know anything about it but this ^ sounds about right.

What are you trying to avoid Janice?  What's wrong with the regular app?  What are you trying to clean up?

It's a free app with good ratings and is available on the Google Chrome store. I'm just gun-shy, I guess.

The suggestions on the sections (Music, Movies, etc.) keep showing up on my page instead of the ones I've added. I would like to disable them altogether as well as the suggestions for friends and those under posts on my timeline. No big deal other than I like to work clean on the computer. I guess this software can also remove ads. Sounds too good to be true for free! It sounds like the software gives users more control over personal settings than Facebook does. I'm still on the fence about the app, though.
