I have two new Scotty (labeled Hobie) 279 rod holders for sale.  They hold conventional or spinning reels. Asking $30 (price dropped) for the pair including new Scotty stems (not shown). Prefer PP, but cash is ok. In SF/Sunset.

Um, no offense but these are readily available for $15 ea. w/free shipping and they come with the base. Why so much? Am I misunderstanding your post?

I think he must had paid the premium price since it has the little "hobie" name on them.
I agree, not worth that much.
I would give you 10.00 for one but not going to spend 50.00 in fuel to get them.

Thank you and I will drop to $30 if that's the case. If one can get them for a better price, then I assume mine will not likely sell due to capitalistic principles taking their course. If anyone actually needs rod holders and it's convenient to meet without asking scubaluis for a ride, then by all means let me know. Otherwise, a friendly PM will suffice for constructive criticism rather than self-indugently gumming up my thread. :smt002

dude, don't get me wrong, i am just saying that when you get the stuff from "hobie" you pay more, like i did the last few years. ( hobie never seems to go on sale)
and my truck gets really poor gas mileage so it would not be worth it for me, probably 40.00 for diesel, 10.00 for bridge toll, etc

but if anyone has a hobie or any kayak for that matter, and want them to look good, do it. specially now that you reduced the price  they are good, i had one till it slipped off my fingers in Timber Cove and i did paid a premium too (22.95 plus tax) at a local shop caused i needed it.

We're good scubaluis. Just had to nudge back a little to salvage my listing.  :smt003
