I was surprised my self I'm not sure but something ate through his tail bone must have been a big seven Gill or juvinal great white sad this sturgeon made it 25 years or more to be killed by who knows what

Wow, they are in the ocean, do they commute from oregon?  Always wondered.

Quite a few commute from here to the Columbia river. A tagged Dino from SPB turned up 5yrs later in the Columbia river.

Sea lions love to eat Dino's ! They tend to grab the tail and thrash them around to bleed out. Saw quite a few keeper size get thrashed about and one at around 6ft.

My first Dino and first time targeting them.My guide was Baitnbeer.  :smt001. Caught Sunday 3-12 early morning on the Delta by Pittsburge.

Man....I don't have any pics, but I went sturgeon fishing once on a buddy's boat in the carquinez straight about 10 years ago. 4 of us caught 5 sturgeon...I caught 2. I feel spoiled because ou guys work so hard for them  :smt009

Don't feel spoiled that was tens years ago.... things have changed. This year has been absolutely killer for sturgeon fishing according to some people maybe the best in several years. Many people have been catching and releasing 60" plus monsters on the daily this year. May not be from a Kayak, but this year has been great for a majority of people sturgeon fishing. I think you are missing out MF
