I want to make my own hog trough.

I've been looking for some sticky backed measuring tape with large numeric characters?

Any body know of a source?

I use Oregon Rule (http://www.oregonruleco.com/) for work.  They may have a min. order quantity though.

Maybe just get a standard metal measuring tape and use double stick tape or some of the heavy duty Velcro they sell at Home Depot.

What ever tape you use you will want to be sure the numbers stand from the rest of the tape. I have one hog trough that you can't see the numbers when I take a picture of the fish.

Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

I have the Rapala. I had issues sticking it to my kayak. They replaced it and now it's on my paddle. Honestly, unless you're sticking it to a cleaning counter on a boat, they're not worth the hassle. For 5 bucks more you can get a cheapie hawg trough from Walmart (buy online and pick up in store).

Just glue a thick wood yardstick on whatever you make for the through. It will also make it float too.

Start with the 5 inch mark. That way you'll have trophy fish everytime!

I Gooped a flexible sewing tape to the rail of my yak several years ago, and it's still stuck. Cleaned both with denatured alcohol first.

I had the Berkeley one in my footwell for over a year. I was amazed it never peeled or lifted. I peeled it out not to long ago it left no residue only a clean spot.
I wouldn't hesitate to buy another if I needed one.
