Hello NCKA,

Quick question that came up while speaking to a friend... When throwing a bait trap to catch live bait... Does that count as a rod? Or can one continue to fish while the trap is in the water?

I told him that you're technically fishing with the trap so it counts as a rod. He says it's not a rod therefore it doesn't count as a rod.

Please tell me I'm right.

I don't think a bait trap counts towards your rod restriction just like crab traps don't.
