I'm planning a trip to Tomales Bay for some halibut fishing on Friday. I plan on launching near Miller's Landing (Nick's Cove). I'm not sure what time yet because I haven't looked at the tide forecast. I'll narrow it down later this week. If anyone is interested I'd gladly take some pointers.

CHEERS!

Wow,

You really plan ahead. I'm still trying to figure out my fishing location for tomorrow.

I am no expert, but the best halibut fishing is said to be to the West of Hog Island, and near the East shore of Pierce Point, near the mouth of the bay.

Edit: Oh, that is only next week. Duh. For some reason I was tinking it was several weeks away.

This is the tide for the weekend. Due to the drive (about 3 hours) I think I'll fish the incomming tide at around noon. I'll try to get there at around 11:00.

The worst has happened! WAF account running low! Condition critical! Unfortunately Tomales is out of the picture! Wife working half day on Friday, so I'll do a pre-fish at Mendo (my back yard) instead, leaving plenty of time to be available for what ever comes up. Plus it's the Chili Cook-Off in Ukiah starting at 5:00 PM.

I'll post my striper catch (if any) in the afternoon.

CHEERS!

Are stripers the primary fish in that lake? Are there largemouth too?
