There is a chance I will be at Ocean Cove Saturday. Slim but at least a chance.
What time will you be launching?

We'll be leaving Petaluma around 6 am and should get up there around 7:15-7:30.  I have a pewter colored Z-71 Chevy Tahoe with a licence plate DIVNDC.  Hope to see you there.

Change in plans has me fishing somewhat local waters Sunday. Suddenly have things that have to get done Saturday.
Good luck. Looking forward to the report.

I am headed that way tomorrow.  I prefer to fish Ocean Cove.  The launch is more protected, they have a nice fish cleaning station, and the hike is not as long.  I found some good spots loaded with fish last time I was there.  If you guys want to meet me there that would be cool.  If not I might meet you guys at Fort Ross.  I drive a white Nissan Frontier with a Mango X-Factor.  I will have channel 69 on.

I am, at the last minute, going to head North and try to hook up with one of you guys. I know where the Ocean Cove launch is. I will go there by 7: 00 am.

When people say "Fort Ross", where exactly does that mean?

Fort Ross means the beach that is down the dirt road directly below the historic fort.  You can drive down, unload, and drive back up to park.

Ocean cove is another 10 minutes drive north (90-degree bend in the road, store on the right, campground on the left).

Good luck fellas... I'm manning the grill at the church picnic tomorrow... and otherwise stocking up on WAF.

Good job Erik!  Hope your church function goes well.
Hey George, Max here.  Hope your day went well at Ft. Ross with Bill. Give us a full report with px!  I'm heading that way Monday. Might get up to Anchor Bay for better water clarity.  Let me know how the vis was and if that red tide is still around.  THANKS!!

Sorry to flake, but I didn't make it. I got up at 3:30, but since I posted late last night, I didn't really know who was gonna be where, or when. I didn't want to go all that way to a spot I have never kayaked and go out alone. Next time I will get in the loop sooner.

Hope you guys are hookin' em up.

Jeff

We finally got in about 9 am after dinking around a bit and headed south from the beach.  It took a while but finally got into some fish.  We both caught limits of copper and blues all around 12 -15"  nothin' special but a good dinner tonight.  I did somehow manage to snag a 25" ling in the side, man... what a heavy lug up.  I knew I had something big, but was very surprised to see the belly bite  :hello2:  No pics, fish weren't that great, but I know they'll taste great!
Hope you all had a Great weekend on the water,

Max, give me a call and lets get the yaks in the water soon.
