Lowrance Elite 5 issues??

I got an elite 5 (not hdi) for christmas this year and I have been having an issue with the enter button getting stuck. I thought maybe it would break in after I used it a couple times, but it's still doing it. Also for some reason now it's shutting down on me after a couple min of running?? I checked the voltage right when I got home and I have 12.5-12.3 volts. When I went into bass pro they told me it needs to be handled through the vendor. I know someone is a rep here but don't remember who it is??

I had that same problem with my elite 4 shutting off, it only happened when I had my lakepro card in there, must have been some corrosion in there causing that. I sent it back. Try doing a soft reset. Hold down the page key while powering on untill u hear a beep. Theres a hard reset that will bring u back to factory specs if u hold down the + and - key while powering on. The reps name is fishingforthecure (Bill) hes really helpfull with these things

FishingForACure or Wingshooter are Lowrance guys.  I would try a different battery on the power issue.  I had problems with my HDS dying quickly and replaced the battery with a new 8ah.  That fixed my problem.

My battery is brand new and it worked fine for the previous few hour trip.  The other one lasted four trips before I swapped it with this one.
