I use this exact same suit for abalone diving/spear fishing from a kayak.  The neoprene is stretchy, so it isn't as much of a PITA to paddle with, and since it is a front zip, you can take a leak when you are fishing from the kayak if you are doing a combo fish/dive trip ( I like to warm up my suit as much as the next diver when in the water, but stewing in it while fishing....not so much). Life is full of compromises, so no, it won't keep you as warm as an open cell, but it keeps me warm for 2-3 hr dives. I wear an XXL, and tried to see if I could slip into an XL so I bought this one.  It was a little tight on the shoulders, and I initially was thinking I would stretch it out, but I keep on ending up using my XXL.

Only asking $150 which is what I paid for it.
