Prayers. Stay safe out there folks.

I knew it had to be big.   I was driving on hwy 1 and lots of police vehicles from multiple agencies were driving with lights and sirens and headed in that directions.

I just got info an officer is dead and my wife knows him and my daughter knows his daughter.   

I pray this is not the case.  I will not say who in case info is wrong,  but will pray for all first responders and their families.

Confirmed with names. A deputy and the suspect are dead. I can't ever figure out how to link these stories from my phone.

The deputy's daughter just had a baby a few months ago.   I can't imagine the families pain.

The suspect apparently carjacked someone else prior to the pursuit and shooting.   What a POS that I pray burns in Hell.

Just saw the story in the local news.
Perp was arrested & booked for possession of a modified AR-15 & meth in his vehicle on 3/6, then released the same day without charges.....
Seems he hijacked a BMW in Oregon a day or so ago (not sure where the 2 occupants are now) then got into a gunfight at Confusion Hill before driving south, where a deputy found him in Cleon. Perp had another rifle & fired at the deputy's vehicle.

Very tragic story. I can't help but notice that the news article just glossed over how the perp was in custody on the 6th, then released.

Meth is the scourge of our times.

Anyone also notice the recent spat of middle class heroine over doses? I know of two local families that have lost kids in their mid twenties.  Opate rx meds were the gateway in both cases.

Were getting a lot more heroin use now, especially middle class. All the oxycotin addicts/abusers have switched to heroin, cheaper, easier to get, and the rx changed the production methods making oxy harder to smoke.

Turns out the officer killed grew up with my Dad and a lot of his side of the family. Poor guy.
