Decided to fish the late afternoon/evening at Tahoe. Plan was to launch from Baldwin Beach and head towards the mouth of Taylor Creek and fish the general vicinity for kokanee.
Get to Baldwin Beach around 3 and the guy at the kiosk entry says there is at least an hour wait just to get a place to park.
We head towards camp Richardson where it is a juggernaut of traffic. I am ready to blow the whole thing off, but we press on.
Let's try D.L Bliss State park.........PACKED..no beach access..all full...
We ended up at Kings Beach..which was PACKED
Went just past it to Coon Street where we were fortunate enough to get a parking spot..Not just any spot either, but a boat trailer spot.
Parked the 4Runner and trailer and Becky, CHUB and I geared up and were in the water at 5pm.
Headed to the CA/NV point trolling a diving plane, Sepps blades and a needle fish. Marked a LOT of bait with fish consistently feeding on the bait. Only had one on for a short bit.
CHUB landed 2 fish with a diving plane, dodger and watermelon apex. Both dinks. An 11'' Mack and a 6'' Rainbow.
Off the water by 7.
LOTS of boat traffic and chop to show for it.
Still bettter than sittin, at home.
