Hi There NCKA,

My name is Luke.  I recently moved to the Bay Area for work and I have found my way to this incredible resource.  Living in CO had me reaching for my Matthews or my Ruger more often than my fishing pole but with the beautiful Pacific just a few hundred feet away I see that all changing.  However, the Pacifica Archery range isn't must further away from me and, I gotta say, my old school FeatherMax is pretty dialed in.  Since I won't be cow calling bull elk in, looks like I will be heading up to Lake Sonoma for some boar.

I look forward to meeting some of you and learning how to reel 'em in on my (soon to be purchased) kayak.

Cheers!

Luke

Welcome aboard. I spent a week on the Keni out of Slodanata. We fished the Keni river and a few days on a halibut boat out of Ninilchik. Would love to go back with the kayak some day. There's elk with in a few hrs of you too, Roosevelt and Rocky Mountain.

The three of us went during third week of July in 2010.  Trip of a lifetime.  Had an unbelievable guide (you get what you pay for folks. When the per person per day rate is between 260 to 290 (on average), pay the 290 its AK for pete's sake)  Our guide was on the Kenai Fishing Guide Board and was well worth it.  We talked to folks that didn't get any King bites at all.  The place to stay - Red Fish Lodge in Soldotna.  After being on the boat in the River all day, we would go back to the lodge and walk down to the bank of river and slam the Reds.  Those things had shoulders man, awesome fighters.

Denver.. Arvada/Broomfield area. Love me some Steamboat tho.  Great place to hunt elk.  There's a bad boy up near the reservoir that came in on us silent one time. Damn thing was huge. I was able to nock an arrow and sling it just over his back.  Needless to say, I now practice shooting from a knelling position.
