Folsom lake 2/22 report non yak

decided to take the kids out for some shore fishing yesterday at folsom lake granite bay..it was hard fighting the urge to bring the kayak, but wanted to get my boys onto some fish from shore. evening rolled in and my older son hooked onto a nice 16" bow. A few minutes later my younger son hooked onto his first rainbow trout on his little madagascar pole. It was a great feeling seeing the excitement on their faces hooking onto a fish as a father. sun went down and we called it a night. Mission accomplished, got each of my boys a fish to reel in. Got home and made fish tacos with them. Great day!

Dude!  Those smiles are what it is all about.  Next time, you will be hearing it from them how they caught 8 and you got ZERO.  Trust me.  I've already heard it from my kid.

haha its already happening Bret! the little one keeps telling everyone that he caught one, his brother caught one and daddy caught zero, I hope they didnt steal my fish mojo from this trip! haha
