Englebright......not!!! Bullards Tues 18th

I was invited to fish Englebright with Fish Junky and his friend Bill on Tuesday.  It was to be Kevin's maiden voyage in his new Outback.  When we arrived at the lake we found it full and the color of chocolate mousse…..not fishable!  We decided to try Bullards Bar instead.  We launched our yaks at Dark Day went our own ways.  I stayed to the right and ran all the way to the feeder creek.  I found a 14 inch trout on the surface with a jointed Rapala.  My efforts with dodger/worm, spoons and all the other stuff just didn’t spark any interest.  Junky ended the day with a small trout and Bill finished with a 13 inch bass.  A nice day on the water despite the poor bite.  A few photos for your approval…

One is better than none, unless it was on your first cast.  Then that really sucks.

Water has come up a lot since I was last there.
