need photos of a cabezon!

one of my collegues here at the poison control center is going to write a paper on fish poisonings, and is specifically interested in photos of cabezon.  if anyone has one, can you please e-mail a photo to me.  hopefully she will get this published in a medical journal, so i hope that is ok as well.  my email address is [email protected].  many thanks!  alan

gentlemen, we're good, thank you!  yes. it is the roe that is toxic.  in average "servings," it will simply cause a moderate to severe gastritis.  in a guinea pig model, large doses will start with severe vomiting and diarrhea and then end with cardiovascular collapse.  not sure of the actual mechanism.  fish poisons, including ciguitera and scrombroid, will likely be the main topic of this review, but the cabezon will also be discussed.  the toxin present in the roe has apparently not been well researched.  that's why the doc wanted some photos of local fish.  again, thank you!  alan
