Gotta agree with the non-shark theory here. Usually when you see a shark fin at the surface, you'lll see the Caudal fin (tail fin) lightly breaking the surface also. It's still possible to be a shark but like Mol said, it'd probably be small, at most a 6 footer. So not a threat. The Dorsal fin is pretty light and rounded so would guess if it was a shark it'd have to be a juvenile 6-7 gill, Soupfin, Oceanic White Tip, or Blue shark. That's with my wannabe shark-nerd status :downtown: ... bsteves might have something to say about that though.. :smt091

Anyway, I used to have 6 footer reef sharks and hammer heads around a lot surfing Japan and they wouldn't really mess with you. It's the larger ones that you'd have to worry about.

   Hey Guys,

It was a great day for me, one of the best this year. I did pretty well caught one of almost everything. Had a fat cabbie tat I did not land first thing, but landed a large Red,Blue,Cabezon and a few other keepers. Rerleased a one underling it was probally a keeper but I let it go anyway I'll catch him when he gets a little bigger.

The mole mole was a little startling to see since I have never saw one before, I don't know if I get the GTO if Eric bytes the big one I'll have to look into that L.O.L  The breakers werer fun being the first real challenging surf launch and landing. The company was great and hope to do more fishing with you guys. It's sounds like Sunday was a better day but you can't win them all. Until the next time    FISH ON AND ON,ON      C YA!
