Anyone ever try eating cat tails. No not the fury Purry kind either. Was watching an episode of survivor man and they didn't look half bad. I may try some real soon. Need to harvest them in good clean water although. No toxins.definetly won't try any from the salinas river.... :smt044

yes, when I was a kid.  The roots leave plenty to be desired and the unripe seed heads are pretty fibrous and bland.   Were I starving I would go with acorns first I think.
