Didn't he claim to have found it washed up on shore?  Or am I thinking of someone elses pot.

yeah, he "claimed" it washed up on shore... but a closer inspection of the vinyl coating on the rings and the condition of the netting on the pot, the pot did not 'walk' from where I dropped it all the way to the beach without suffering any damage....

Glen, he probably also charged for the time and effort to eat the crabs he found in the trap.  :smt002

Hey Bruddah,

Man, I know what it feels like to lose a trap, spending a lot of time looking for it and it all seems like a bad dream. Happened to me on Dec. 31st at HMB. Iwas pissed off for a number days and then I told myself that I wasn't going to buy another trap and see what happens. Last week, I got a call from a good friend who owns a crab boat. He told me that he had a smaller sized commercial type crab trap that would probably fit on my kayak. I drove down to south SF yesterday and picked up the trap. Man, this a nice heavy duty smaller sized comerical type crab trap with all the fixings. I have Hobie Oasis Tandem and I use the front compartment for storage, etc. I think that I can fit this trap in my yak. I am planning on attending the Crabfest on the 26th to meet some new NCKA bruddahs and I was thinking that I was not going to do any crabbing. Now, I am thinking well, I gotta try this new trap out and what the heck, see what I can catch.
