DWC Monday - 12/23

It was quiet mid-day at the port.  A couple of weeks ago I got a couple of short stripers (15" and 17") so I was optimistic.  I drifted jumbo minnows for 4 hours and have nothing to show for it.  I hit the area near the 1st bridge all the way to the docks just west of Lake Washington.  I also threw a fluke and also tried for catfish but not a bite.  I didn't hear anyone else having any better luck.  I didn't see much surface activity until after I got off the water when there were a few baitballs and splashing fish near the launch.  It was a beautiful day and made for a nice paddle anyway.

Next stop the salt.  The WX for TC is looking good from what I can tell so I hope to get one more trip in before the season closes.

Thanks for the report I was just thinking about the port and how it was fishing. I think we desperately need some rain.

I didn't catch much either Saturday and Sunday. Only a couple of lmb. I drifted my jumbo minnows over many schools of bait and only got a couple of bites on the minnow. On Sunday I met up with bones and he hooked up to a 20" when I left

My screen was filled with bait but nothing wanted to play
