I've been using a low-back seat with very little padding for the butt for the last 10 years.  But that means by back and butt are that much older, so I'm looking to upgrade to a high back seat with some decent padding.   Do you have any suggestions?

   A couple of follow-up questions:
My Prowler 15 has straps that lead from the back of the seat to the top sides of the tankwell - some of the seats I've seen seem to be rigged for some other kind of rear hold-down.  Do I modify the new seat or the yak straps? (Looks like a lousy area to access the inside behind the seat.)
I'm due for a new PFD as well (Yep, I'm making a holiday wish list.) - will most of them work with a high-back seat?
   Thanks for the help.

I'd highly suggest the Surf-to-Summit Expedition seat.  Yeah, it's like $200 but you WON'T regret this seat one bit!  I had one for my Kingfish, then moved it to my Malibu & now have it for use on my AI.  Sold the other yak's, kept the seat! :smt003

Can't make any good suggestions as far as lifejackets are concerned.  Most seem to work with most seats but I'm really not the best to answer this question since I use an inflatable vest & they seem to work with everything.  :smt002

I own the STS Pro 15" backrest and STS Elite 18" backrest and prefer the pro. Either are easy to install on a P15. I have a Stohlquist angler and both seats are fine.

+1 on surf to summit seats. I use one on both my P15s.

I personally don't really like the new high back pfd craze. It seemed to me that the high back of the pfd rested right on the high back of the seat and caused the pfd to ride up all day.

+1 on the PFD riding up. I like the gray Ocean Kayak seat, its short and has ok cushion.

I use the Sea Air Sports Pacific Angler and love it. It is a bit pricey too, but i spend 8-10 hours a day at least two days a week in the seat and never have problems. As far as riding up I believe it depends on how tall you are to start with. I use the Stohlquist Fisherman and have no seat to PFD interference.

You can always add extra pad eyes if the seat requires different mounting points. No matter what seat you get.

+2 on the surf to summit.  Worked perfect on my P-15.
