Sad little Kayak, how I let you down
Last night I put you on the roof rack
Today you’re on the ground
The conditions looked perfect
My paddle, net and pole
My life vest and radio
Were all packed and ready to go.

Then much to my dismay I see a Small Craft Warning
Sneaker waves and big surf
And a steep negative tide
My my now my heart asks, ‘why, why, why’?

I dreamed last night
a halibut jumped in my lap, oh how unexpected was that?
Sometimes we are a battleship and we prepare for war
The wave crashing over your bow
My heroic vision

But today I let my NCKA brothers down
We failed to make the hookup
The season’s ending the lings go into hiding
The blacks get a six-month reprieve

Believe believe little kayak, we will go to battle again
I bought these things for you my trusty friend.
Thank you for being there and keeping me on my toes
I’m sorry little kayak, but that’s the way it goes.

 :smt003 I like it

the toughest decision is always to "not-go-out"

but the ocean makes the rules.

Randomness rules the universe. Perseverance is the only path to success..but luck sometimes works too.
