Monday eve at the south end, caught nice LM and SM, dropshotting the damn. Nilch on any striper boils.
Tuesday eve at north end, couple small bass dropshotting Vinegar Point? It's the sharp point just south of the BMII campground. Got out of the breeze and sun here, good place to hang, listen to ballgame, and scan for boils. No boils, a PB said they boiled a week ago. I think I saw fish 15' deep on the ff. FF is new, don't trust or know it yet.
I trolled a Mission Fish back to ramp for nothing.
Good paddle though.
I might try live bait tonight...
If you don't know where you're headed, any road could get you there.

Thanks Mako!  See any large arches on the graph on the long side of the dam near (legaly close) to the tower?  That is where i was finding them consistently in June to early July, always around and below bait balls.

Yeah I fished mendo about a week ago in a pb, no boils , no worries, bait fish were easy as pie, but didnt have any love. Hope to go camping there this weekend.  ive been skunked at mendo maybe the last 3 times for strippers.
fishing is an addiction that never goes away
