This helps to not put to much pressure on the tracks. I believe rockhopper uses them also

Made these up to do the same on my T16,  hardware was from an older 4Runner roof track system (Toyota #1). This also gives you 2 places to attach rod leases and all the metal parts appear to be stainless.
