want to rent cabin near Shasta or Dodge ridge

In past winters, we've always gone to Tahoe but this year we would like to try either Shasta or the area around Dodge ridge.  We went to the Shasta area over the summer and really liked it.  We would like to go back for a few days in the winter.  The other choice is the Dodge ridge area.  The alternative is to find a cabin in the Dodge ridge area.  So if you have a cabin or know of one for a family of four with dog, please let me know.

I'd probly go with Shasta. Dodge ridge is nice with pinecrest lake right there too but I believe its drained right now. What about bear valley resort ? Thats not too much farther than dodge ridge

If you decide Dodge Ridge, I stayed at the Rivers a few years ago.  A short drive to Dodge.  Cabin No. 9.  It was nice, right on the river.
