NCKA folks - I realize a whole mess of you have trucks/pick-ups w/ camper shells and some kind of after-market rack (ala Yakima/Thule) for your kayak(s). I just bought a 2010 Toyota Tacoma w/ a 6ft bed, and am shopping for a camper shell and racks so I can get back on the water. The Subaru Forester is dead. Will hang on to it for a week or two if anyone needs parts - it's a 1999 w/ 240k on it. I'm in Hayward, wondering where folks have had good experience with Camper Shell purchases? Thanks so much....

CL, CL, CL!
Be patient.
I saw a ton of deals. The biggest prob was getting one to fit my 2000 Chevy K2500.
Found one for $200 with liner, 3 lights inside brake light, yakima kayak rack with bars, rubber floor mat, and a tension bar.
there are deals to be had for the patient one.

Oh yeah, I also got a fiberglass LEER shell off E-bay for $69 cause it was a "local pickup" and no-one wanted to drive to it,, turned out to be about 30miles away  :smt003

CL is the shizzle. Got what I wanted in a different color. I actually like it better than the match color. And I'm cheap..

Amen to being patient and finding one on CL.  I found one for my Titan with the rack already mounted to the top for $350.

Yeah, CL is the bomb.  I had an one off my old Titan that I wanted to get rid of.  It was cracking and leaking, but it did have a rack on it.  I didn't think I could get $100 for it, but sold it to some schmuck for $350.   :smt002

Got a free Toyota Bedliner from CL
patience is the key.
And I think Sonny and Jedmo only lurk around the ncka classified section so no competition from them on CL  :smt044

My campershell is a 03' "SnugTop" Hi-Liner.  I'm really happy with it,  I ordered it with the carpet kit, because I knew I'd be be sleeping under it during winter months and wanted that little extra insulation.
I bought it from a local dealer here in Santa Cruz, dammit, can't recall the places name at the moment.  Ha, it's Leisure West on Portola, in Capitola, Was like $1,800 for it then (Long bed)
