Would you guys recommend taking someone new to the salt to Half Moon bay Crabbing? My daughter loves crab. And was thinking I should take her on the salt I think she is old enough at 37.

It was horrible, for me. I'll tell you the story around the campfire one day. Lol!

How was the Thanksgiving harvest?

Had all of my crab traps raided but was thankful to end with a near limit at the end of the day. The thieve(s) left a empty Budweiser can in my traps! I also spoke with another kayaker on the water who lost one of his traps and had his other raided. Instead of leaving a beer can in his trap they left a empty tuna container. Mother F**Kers!

Sounds like some assholes got up nice and early to raid pots on Thanksgiving day.  Spoke to a few people who said they got raided too.   :smt013

No red hot action for me, Wed night dropped pots with Str8FiSHiN and his buddy John around 9pm...it was a lake out there.  Went out again at midnight to check my pots, pulled 2 pots for 4 keepers including 1 jumbo.  The swell was starting to pick up a little at this time.

Thanksgiving day, hard time locating one of my pots as it walked a bit, but found both pots for 2 just barely legal keepers.   It was pretty ugly at the crabbing grounds, a huge wave crashed right on me and gave me a good shower early in the morning.  Jason got it worse, but you'll get to hear the story around the campfire later.   :smt003

2 of my pots were stolen towards the end of last season not just raided.  I saw it happen.  It was an aluminum boat.  I couldn't get to them fast enough because I was just finishing RFishing at the red can.  Now I stay close to my traps.
