Its not very fast, but its very stable. It really depends on your fitness level, and conditions, but I think 2mph in calm conditions should be do-able.

How fast does it paddle?  Can you average 2 MPH over a few miles?

I bet you could. If you sat on a cooler and used a standard yak paddle for sure. The SUP one has you switching side to side all the time.

If I was interested in a SUP that would be a big selling point for me...

Obviously there are pros and cons with both styles, but for the kind of abuse I put my stuff through...tougher is better.  :smt003
