Fish Junky, Adoboat, and Flip1199 joined me at the Port today.  We met up at the Barge Canal and headed out to claim our bounty.  At the ramp we saw Johnny1 and he had the same idea.  At the bottom of the ramp the water was boiling with minnows trying to avoid the stripers that were slashing them big time.  I tried a Rat L Trap for a few casts but the action quickly subsided.  We launched and trolled out into the basin and tried a variety of methods to coax the linesides into hitting.  We pretty much split up at that point and went our own ways.  I tried drifting minnows by the big boats for a while then set about trolling at 20 feet OTW.  Throughout the day I had a few minnows stolen from me but no fish to the boat.  I ended the day at 1 PM and headed for the ramp.  A really nice day to spend on the water with some fellow NCKA members.  Happy Thanksgiving to all.  A few photos…

The bait was really in the port today in a big way.

Fish Junky on the hunt.

Junky landing number one........he later caught another.  Both fish were around 5#'s each.

Adoboat heading up the canal.

I drive over that bridge every day to work, there are more ships in the port now than I have ever seen? Hopefully they will be cleared out by the tournament! :smt003
Let me explain something to you. Um, I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me. You know, that or, uh, His Dudeness, or uh, Duder, or El Duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing.
