That's just wrong .... so right, yet so wrong.

   Solves a HUGE issue

Maybe baby skunks work better since they are pre-filled with scent "attractant".

sardines packed in oil with a Half cooked chicken thigh (release the grease) Squid and anything else you got that puts oils out in the water... Pack the bait cage or holding device tight! Harder to loose bait, You can even freeze them filled ahead of time... Rotten stuff has never worked that well for me. Or the best is a salmon carcass... Savin mine for crabfest :smt006
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!

Crab bait discussions are funny.

My 2 cents: I've tried a lot of baits including KFC :smt003 and the best bait I used last year was crab/shrimp fuel soaked dog food w/ a chicken leg quarter. Get the super cheap xlarge nuggets place in zip lock, add fuel, water and let the nuggets soak it up. Place into small zip locks and freeze. Good luck into everyone going out tomorrow. ~Mike

There was a sicko up here in Crescent City a few years ago that was using kittens as bait. He and his kid got away from the fish cops via pedal bikes....LOL. Sick freaks.

Sacramento Pike Minnows work great, and lake Pillsbury is full of them. We go for them just for free amd fun crab bait.
