I had Stefan contact me about fishing in San Francisco Bay.  He is here visiting from Bulgaria, where he is a new kayak fisherman "mostly for catfish."

I'm not available as a guide on Mon, Tues, or Wednesday 28-29-30 so I'm throwing it out there to the group. (I have prior-booked meetings all three days)

Anyone got extra boat and equipment and some spare time to show him how we do it in NorCal?  I was thinking stripers in San Pablo Bay.  Good action close to shore?

Good opportunity to pay it forward within the international kayak fishing community.

Lemmeno here or pm, and i can transfer Stefan's email address via pm.

THANKS!

Allen

ps he is staying at a hotel in SF.

If I didn't have my leg in a boot/cast I'd do it in a heart beat.
Maybe raymann or another Maronite could?

There might be stripers in cortte madera creek now- in which case he could rent right there under 101 and troll. Not particularly pretty.
Marin islands would be better.

Yeah I was thinking the islands as well.

Stefan is here with nothing at all in the way of gear.  How cool would it be to send him home with tales of glory?

Otherwise, I'm going to advise him to jump on a charter boat, just to get some fishing in (yak fishing always preferable.)

thanks Steve.

Send him out to fish at the Yakhopper event... We can cobble together something while there and he can see NCKA in action... Talk about tales to tell :smt044 :smt044 :smt044
my new name should be Ostridge. Got my head in the sand. Going fishing and letting go of the other stuff I can't control anyway!
