Steve,
I will be packed for the weekend and arrive in Bodega Bay Friday night for intell with Comm's, PBrs. Depending upon their advice, I'm prepared for going as far north as Ft. Ross or as far south as Dux (although I've been to Dux). I'm not sure if it's beyond my range.
Feel free to call me on my cell (714) 767-6736 Friday night or Saturday morning early or Sat late.
I have a VHF too and will be tuned to 69 channel. I'll listen to radio "talk" for intell too.
I want a few salmon real bad so this trip is do or die. I'll be a trolling machine!
Craig

Hi Steve:
Where and when are you thinking of launching?

Do you know if the stripers are cooperating in the bay?

well, the reports for salmon aren't particularly encouraging- plus there is a tourney out there sat.  Sounds like folks are getting fish at middle grounds and dux

The bay stripers supposedly are here- but i for one haven't seen them.  I was thinking of maybe hitting alameda estuary area, but to be honest i'm not sure i'm up for the drive over there!  So, instead might just luanch from Loch Lomond marina- hit the marin islands, then up the canal if nothing doing at the islands.

The forecast looks windy at the beach/ocean side (and its blowing in Fairfax right now)- but swells are TINY.

I'm up for a suggestion-- Muir beach? or Stripers at alameda or loch lomond?

Steve,
I've seen some mixed striper reports, but of course not everyone will post a hot bite on the web.  I've been curious to check out the area around Crocket and the C&H sugar factory.  DFG releases salmon smolts in the area on a weekly basis and it can be WFO for stripers.  Have you heard anything about this?

Ed
