pocket fisherman thingy from Ronco.

I used to have one as a kid and have been thinking about getting one, just out of nostalgia.  Ron Popeil is the man!  The Ronco Poket Fisherman was sweet, I'd keep it in my school backpack and catch bluegills on the way home from school when I was in Jr. High.

Oh the memories...I caught a lot of fish on one of those.  I used to put it in my backpack, get on the BMX bike, and I was gone for the day.  Too cool, I haven't thought about one of those in a LONG time.

All right! Its time for an Instant Fisherman v. Pocket Fisherman Smackdown. Maybe at Bendo 2? I'd order one, but my wife would have me comitted and there's no fishing there  I still might try to tell her its a Sabiki rod.

I'm pretty sure that it is up in Ketchikan that they have a "Snoopy" rod Salmon derby.  So I think a Popeil Pocket Fisherman derby is an absolute must do.

I forget who won with what fish however.
