From a sale e-mail I got, Gander Mountain is selling a Lowrance Elite-5 DSI Fishfinder/Chartplotter Combo for $349 (down from $599.)

Thats because the lowrance elite 5 HDI came out for $435 an it has dual sonar traditional an dsi lol

Correct.  The DSI units, though only a 1-2 yrs old, are now "old"    The DSI technology will continue to make advancements in the not so distant future.  Hopefully it won't fall to the wayside like the old "3D" units did.  Anyone remember those?
