we got an easy limit of rockfish and several lings.

erin also caught the biggest vermillion i've ever seen.

we stopped in at bean hollow to say hi to a couple of ncka members.

Nice Alan T. Looks like you still get them every time. thanks for sharing. I'm curious about the red and yellow markings on the fish finder? What am i looking at?
Thanks again
Alex

Great report. Super fish!
Is the water that smooth usually at this time of the year?

water conditions always vary.  we hit this one just right.

for the fishfinder, the red bands at 40 feet are the bottom.  the screen is split wiith low frequency on the left and high frequency on the right.  low frequency penetrates deep water and picks up every target and lights it up big.  even small targets send back a big signal.  high frequency is less sensitive.  it will not penetrate deep water that well, but small target show up small and big targets show up big.

for this screen shot, i had the screen depth set at 80, but we were only in 40 feet of water.  it is fully adjustable, but i just didn't get around to it.
