Friend of mine went up to Point Arena to do some diving with a friend. In between dives his buddy was walking the Beach and saw some seagulls eating something Genetic Karma ? Pretty Cool looks just like a 20 footer.
Group IQ is inversely proportional to the size of the group.

A Steelhead always knows where he is going, but a Man seldom does.

Or Sand Shark, but Allen's probably right.  A friend and I found one about 15 years ago along a beach between dives in northern Mendocino.  Wished I would've dragged it along or gotten some pics (pre digital...) - looked exactly like a mini GWS.

It just has the look of a salmon shark to me.  But there are a couple other clues as well.  The white extends well above the pectoral fins.  The blue-ish color.  And if you zoom in on the tail, you'll see what looks like might be a secondary caudal keel.  That secondary caudal keel is a dead giveaway for a salmon shark.
