My brother and I are both very new to kayak fishing.  This was only my second time in a kayak, and first time fishing from one.

We fished HMB between the bouys from about 9am to noon.

I got a Brown, 2 Blacks, and a 23" Ling.  My brother caught a limit of mostly blacks.

The kayak handled the water great.  There were a couple times where some waves snuck up on me from behind, and caught me off-balance, but I never went overboard.

My forearms, elbows, and shoulders are killing me!

Thanks for the report and picture Chris.  Hope the pain is gone by now.

Congrats on the fish, check out youtube for some proper strokes.  I am lucky in that GF was an instructor and beats up side the head when I do an arm stroke.  It may sound funny but if you do it right you get your abs involved and that is a bigger muscle group which won't tire as fast.

Congrats on your catch - i like your stringer.

It's a nice setup, considering how long it is, but it needs bigger clips.  The one the ling is hanging off of just barely fit.

I guess I could simply sharpen the tips and poke it through the lower jaw...
