Gonna try again to get this damn AR SKUNK scent off my yak. Will be launching around 6am and heading down to sac state area to troll and toss some mepps.

Went out to scout the Howe area, seen 30-40 fish swimming right below the Guy West Bridge. So fellas go out and get em.

Below Howe it is like a lake.  Last night I had to paddle to get down stream most of the time.  Makes for great paddling for beginners.

I was told I'm still a NOOB til I get my AR salmon. So gotta make it happen can't be a NOOB forever.

Last year I got so frustrated with the AR so hopefully this weekend will be my time.

Rider, I'll join you on Sunday. My fingers are still fucked so I might take my aluminum. Never been here- is it deep enough for my 14'? Otherwise, I can tough it out but I better get an effin salmon.

Tons of salmon there, but they are not biting. I think it will be better by Sunday (no USGS work and lower water temp).

i have shoulder surgery tomorrow morning (9-19) but if the nerve block wears off quick enough i will head out there if i can carry my yak to the water...

I'll be there Saturday morning.  Still looking for my first salmon ever.  But I got a fly that I am hoping will work.

I might join you guys if I can find someone to watch my kids for a few hours.
